Hello, I’m Mick. I’m a Community Employment mentor/coach based at Bull Green, Halifax. In my role, I feel so fortunate to be able to help individuals from all backgrounds with a variety of challenges and circumstances. As part of a likeminded team we are fully engaged and positive, we work collectively in offering support and guidance to making positive sustainable changes to our clients life choices and situation. I believe in the power of listening, offering empathy in a safe non-judgemental environment, facilitating, building confidence and self-empowerment for people to achieve their goals and attain their full potential.
Playing my small part in facilitating the individuals’ personal journey of success is one of the many things I truly embrace about this role.
In building self-confidence, enabling people to improve their employment skills and achieve long term employment. As a team we provide a bespoke, humanistic, client led programme. Providing 1:1 appointment to investigate and facilitate access to training, volunteering opportunities, introductions to employers, work placements, benefits advise, and signposting to “better placed” agencies such as Mental Health and Wellbeing and Child Care.
