Moving Forward Together is a new and exciting project we are launching in Calderdale for those 18+ and currently not in work.
We know sometimes life is not always easy and straight forward and if you have found yourself not knowing where to turn or how to get yourself out the house, Moving Forward Together is for you!
We have a team of mentors ready and waiting looking to help you take that very important first step, help you realise your potential and start building a brighter future.
Is it for me?
It is really difficult knowing what that next step is sometimes. If you have been stuck indoors for a long time, not active or physically fit, it can feel even more of a struggle!
Our mentors are available to spend time with you on a regular basis, supporting you in all areas of life, to help build your confidence and that all important plan for the future.
Moving Forward Together uniquely brings together a range of local organisations in the area to form a partnership, offering you a one stop shop for support and mentoring throughout your entire journey with us.
What is involved?
Moving Forward Together is designed around you! So the support you receive is tailored around what you need. This can include:
Regular walk & talk sessions with mentor
Volunteering opportunities with local organisations
Regular activity sessions with local sports groups
Social groups a range of cultural and arts & crafts activities
Finance & budgeting workshops
Accredited training sessions with qualifications, such as Paediatric First Aid and Food Hygiene
Environmental initiatives including horticulture and wildlife projects
The project is receiving up to £467,625 of funding from the European Social Fund as part of the 2014-2020 European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme in England. The Department for Work and Pensions (and in London the intermediate body Greater London Authority) is the Managing Authority for the England European Social Fund programme.
