We have an excellent opportunity for someone to lead Newground Together’s youth, community and great outdoors initiatives across East Lancashire, leading and motivating the team to deliver a range of fantastic projects and contributing to the development of innovative projects, programmes, and services.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate: 

  • Effective leadership and management to the service delivery staff, motivating staff to provide a high quality, inclusive, safe and cost effective customer focused service.
  • Proven ability to work with Managers, coordinators and cross functional teams to ensure that there is a consistent, integrated offer developed and maintained
  • Experience in managing service delivery performance to ensure that programme plans are on target, contractual obligations are being achieved and corrective actions are taken where necessary
  • Strong relationships with partner agencies and contractors, with a view to developing joint activities and securing additional income for Newgrounds activities
  • Partnership working with local agencies
  • Working in the third sector

Your current experience, skills and knowledge should consist of:

  •  Experience of managing and motivating staff, promoting a culture that meets the needs of funding bodies, service participants and staff.
  • Knowledge and experience of managing and developing community projects
  • Experience in managing budgets and income generation
  • Experience in negotiating and influencing in work areas of highly complex and diverse nature, requiring high levels of skills in a range of specialist disciplines
  • Ability to demonstrate business acumen, completing work in new and challenging situations, affecting extensive policy or service delivery implications

This role is subject to a full enhanced DBS check, which Together Housing will support the ideal candidate through

A full driving licence is required with access to a car, as travel across West Yorkshire is an essential part of the role.
